Apply to receive hands-on training and mentorship

The LHS E-STAR Center provides an exciting opportunity for early-career scientists to receive training and mentorship to build their skills and experience in transforming primary care. Early-career scientists who become LHS E-STAR scholars will receive multidisciplinary, didactic, and experiential training in LHS core competencies while leading embedded research projects at primary care organizations

The University of Washington, the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System, Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute, and diverse primary care organizations across Washington state are partnering to train the next generation of independent scientists. Our partnership aims to help integrated health systems and community health centers meet the challenges of providing equitable, high-quality primary care.
